The Center for Arts and Technology of EDP

The Center for Arts and Technology of EDP it´s a new cultural space at the level of the major European cities with a contemporary and international programming. The new building, signed by the British architect Amanda Levete bets on an organic architecture that establishes a fluid and natural relationship between the city and the river. The new Arts Center will count with exhibition halls, educational services, art reserves, auditorium, restaurant and spaces for artistic residences. During the period of works, the Museum of Electricity – which in 2012 had more than 200 thousand visitors – and will continue to open doors. After the opening of the Center for Arts and Technology, the monumental Central Tejo will have its own programming, creating a very contemporary cross between the Arts, Science and Technology.
